Dot Jazz Series

The Greater Ashmont Main Street present an awesome jazz series every Thursday! On Thursday, September 12 at 7pm,  the Dot Jazz Series will feature the quartet Clear Audience – Steve Fell (guitar), Andy Voelker (saxophones), Jef Charland (bass) & Luther Gray (drums) at the Parish of All Saints.  The Dot Jazz Series, a collaborative project of Mandorla Music and Greater Ashmont Main Street, brings live jazz to the neighborhood!  How great is that! 

Dorchester Pop Up Art Show

Midland Construction has been a family owned construction company for 25 years! To celebrate, they’re hosting a Dorchester-themed pop-up art show on Thursday September 12th from 6-10 p.m. The show will feature the works of local artists Tommy Cherry, Dennis Doyle, Maureen Joyce, Chris Plunkett, Brian Queally, and Jess Waszkiewicz. All art is for sale! The Blarney Stone will be providing food and drink for the event and there will be live music, a 50/50 raffle, and a special guest appearance by City Councillor Frank Baker. Midland Construction offices at located at 1700 Dorchester Ave.

Men’s Knit & Crochet Night

The Stitch House is hosting a Men’s Knit & Crochet Night on Saturday, September 21st from 6pm-8pm.  Join John Ranck around the table with fellow male knitters and crocheters and enjoy the camaraderie as you work on your current craft project. No instructor however fellow crafters are quite generous with helping others. Feel free to bring drink/snack to share. Some refreshments will be provided.   Cost is $5 and you can register here!
