It’s National Rosé Day on Saturday, June 8th!  Celebrate it while sipping a glass on The Bowery Bar’s patio!  The Bowery Bar also serves up frosé too!  We can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday in Dorchester!

Showtunes Tuesday – Pride Edition

Showtunes Tuesday is dbar’s popular, weekly video musical extravaganza with resident dbar VJ, Ryan Grow, playing the best videos clips from all show tunes, musicals, and Broadway performances throughout the night. dbar’s Pride Week Show Tune Tuesday edition will begin at 9 p.m. and feature the very best of shows and artists that have made a particular impact on the LGBTQ community (Cyndi Lauper “True Colors”, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, Madonna “Express Yourself”, ABBA clips, etc.). Here are some other Pride events happening at dbar! 

Spectacle Island 5K & Fun Run

Join Boston Harbor Now at the 9th annual Spectacle Island 5K for beginner and elite runners alike and all those who want to have fun on Boston Harbor! Enjoy panoramic views of Boston Harbor and the city skyline from this historic island. Race day festivities feature a 5K Race, a half-mile Kids Fun Run, picnic lunch for participants, music, a beer ticket, and kids’ activities. All proceeds from the Spectacle Island 5k will help support free and equitable access to Boston Harbor and Islands, and help improve lives of 40,000 youth and their families. This race takes place on Saturday, June 8th at 10am. Get the details here! 

Coffee Talk

It’s the Annual Neighborhood Coffee Hour with Mayor Marty Walsh. Plan on heading to Ronan Park – 92 Mount Ida Road on Thursday, June 6th at 9:30am, enjoying some Dunkin’s coffee and chat about things happening in the neighborhood.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (MA) and Lena Park Community Development Center in Dorchester invite you to the Wear Orange Summer Jam at Lena Park CDC,150 American Legion Hwy, Dorchester.  We #WearOrange to honor the lives of Americans stolen by gun violence, to help keep firearms out of the hands of people with dangerous histories, and to protect our communities from gun violence.
