Ice Cream Social

Mayor Marty Walsh is hosting an ice cream social and school supply drive! Head to the IBEW Local 103, 256 Freeport Street on Wednesday from 6pm-8pm and enjoy some ice cream and family fun! Here is a list of school supplies to donate.

MR8K Bib-Pickup Announced

Skip the lines on race day and pick up your bib ahead of time! Tuesday 8/27 or Wed. 8/28 3-7pm at Wahlburgers at South Bay in Dorchester or Thursday 8/29 3-8pm at New Balance in Brighton at Boston Landing Haven’t registered yet? Visit http://BostonBruins.com/MR8K The Martin Richard Foundation, in partnership with the Boston Bruins Foundation,will host the second annual MR8K to be held on Labor Day – Monday, September 2, 2019. The MR8K race is an annual 5-mile (8K) race that this year, will take place at Warrior Ice Arena at Boston Landing, the practice facility of the Boston Bruins!

Moving Day

It’s almost September 1st and you know what that means – it’s Moving Day! The coming week is sure to promise lots of double parked cars and moving vans, “no parking” moving permits (which residents will ignore) and trash galore! If you have issues with trash or parking violations, you are highly encourage to use the City’s 311 app. The City of Boston also has a handy guide to Moving Day here! 

Another Turnaround

The USS Constitution will conduct a turnaround on Friday morning around 9:30am. Castle Island is the perfect spot to watch. Treat yourself to some Sully’s while you’re out there!

Speaking of Sully’s, they’re hiring! The legendary South Boston hot dog stand is looking for full-time and part-time works to fill job including cashiers and cooks. Must be 16+ to apply. Stop by and fill out an application.
