The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is holding a public meeting on Thursday, November 14th at 6pm at the Leahy Holloran Community Center to seek community input and present the conceptual design plans for reconstruction of Pope John Paul II Park playground. The playground has been fenced off since early September.
The DCR will also go over the schedule for demolition and construction work. The meeting will include information that was shared at a previous public meeting on this project in late September, which allowed attendees to vote on the playground’s color scheme, bench and landscape options. The public is also invited to submit comments after the meeting. The deadline for comments is Friday, November 22nd. Comments may be submitted online at www.mass.gov/dcr/public-comment or by writing to the DCR office.
