From BPD News:
At about 8:35 PM on Sunday October 11, 2020, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hartford Street and Cunningham Street which resulted in the arrest of Marchies Porcher, 21, of Dorchester.
Officers observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Quincy Street near Columbia Road. The motor vehicle failed to use a turn signal and did not come to a complete stop at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Wayland Street.
Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens in order to conduct the traffic stop. Once stopped, the officers approached the vehicle and spoke with the driver, later identified at Marchies Porcher.
A CJIS query of Porcher revealed an active warrant out of Roxbury District Court for Operating after Revocation or Suspension.
Officers asked Porcher to exit the motor vehicle and during the search incident to lawful arrest, officers recovered three plastic baggies of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana. A search of the motor vehicle yielded a loaded Ruger SR22PB, .22 Caliber firearm with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine.
Porcher was arrested and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Possession with intent to Distribute Class D, Drugs (Marijuana).
Marchies Porcher is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
