On Saturday, May 17, 2025, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested five individuals and recovered three loaded firearms after responding to a large and disorderly gathering at 12 Harlow Street in Dorchester.
At approximately 2:30 AM, B-2 officers responded to a call for a loud party. Upon arrival, officers encountered a crowd of more than 50 individuals congregated outside the residence. As officers approached, they observed two males, later identified as 22-year-old Kevin Daveiga and 19-year-old Xavyan Figueroa, both of Dorchester, exhibiting behaviors consistent with individuals possibly armed with firearms.
Simultaneously, a third male, 28-year-old Aldio Barbosa of Dorchester, was seen running across the street while clutching his waistband. He entered the residence at 12 Harlow Street, slamming the door behind him. Moments later, Barbosa was seen briefly entering the backyard before returning inside.
While officers secured the perimeter, others attempted to speak with Daveiga, who began walking away while shielding his waistband from view. Officers observed what appeared to be a firearm tucked in his pants. As they moved in to detain him, Daveiga became combative, actively resisting arrest while officers struggled to secure the weapon.
As the confrontation escalated, members of the surrounding crowd began to encircle the officers and physically interfere with the arrest. Officers issued a distress call, prompting an emergency response from additional units assigned to Districts B-3 and C-11. Ultimately, officers were able to subdue Daveiga and recover a loaded firearm from his waistband.
During the same disturbance, 31-year-old Alidia Barbosa of Dorchester (separate from Aldio Barbosa) assaulted multiple officers and was taken into custody.
Meanwhile, Aldio Barbosa reemerged from the residence and was detained for further investigation.
Shortly thereafter, 20-year-old Izaiah Rodrigues of Brockton was observed clutching his waistband. A pat-frisk yielded no weapon; however, Rodrigues assaulted officers during the search and was placed under arrest.
Officers also continued to monitor Figueroa, who had been standing next to Daveiga earlier. As the situation intensified, Figueroa attempted to flee the scene while clutching his waistband. Officers pursued him through nearby streets, including Folsom Street and Woodward Park. He was eventually located hiding between two fences behind 12 Harlow Street. During a search of his flight path, officers recovered discarded ammunition.
With the crowd dispersed and multiple arrests made, officers turned their attention back to the backyard where Aldio Barbosa had initially been observed. Believing he may have discarded a firearm, officers gained a higher vantage point and scanned a wooded area between 12 Harlow Street and 9 Woodward Park. There, they located two additional firearms, one white and one tan, along Figueroa’s and Barbosa’s paths of flight.

Great job BPD. ACLU and Glob will of course whine about all the young “fathers” who were profiled during the incident. If you need any help, over the next two weeks police from Can UNH and MSP will swing by and “find” additional evidence, thereby undermining the real police.
