Big changes are coming to Bailey Street! The Zoning Board of Appeal has given the green light to a development that will replace a triple-decker at 77 Bailey St. with two brand new condo buildings — bringing 12 units of housing to this Dorchester neighborhood.
According to Universal Hub, developer Patrick Targete plans to include two affordable units and six parking spots in the project. According to Targete’s attorney, Shabnam Mashmasarmi, the property is just a quick two-minute walk to the Ashmont T stop — making it a win for transit-friendly living.

The proposal received support from City Councilor Brian Worrell, and notably, no one spoke in opposition during the zoning board meeting.
Because of the project’s size and reduced parking, the developer needed a few zoning variances, but with the board’s stamp of approval, construction can now move forward. More housing — and more options — are on the way in Dot!
