Martin’s Park, located next to the Children’s Museum, is named for Martin Richard – the youngest victim of the Boston Marathon bombings – and will officially open to the public on Saturday, June 15th. Mayor Marty Walsh, Governor Charlie Baker and the Richard family will be in attendance for the official ceremony at 11am. Stop by and check out this impressive and much anticipated park! Program to begin at 11am.
The $15 million park will feature swings, slides, a ship, mini amphitheater and more! According to the Boston Globe, there are nearly 350 trees, 700 shrubs, 9,400 ground cover plantings, and 4,400 white daffodils. You can get a sneak peek here!
