BPD responded to a call for a person shot near 482 Geneva Ave. around 10:30pm on Sunday.

At about 10:30 PM, on Sunday, October 23, 2022, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester), responded to a call for a person shot in the area of 482 Geneva Avenue in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Boston EMS transported the victim to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim has since been identified as Christian Thistle-Kavanaugh, 21, of Dorchester.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.

Sunday night’s shooting comes a week after a triple shooting on the same street that killed 24-year-old Quaaneiruh Goodwyn and injured two men in their mid 20s.
