From BPD News:
On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at approximately 4:55 PM, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Task Force detained Bruno Vieira Ferreira, 23, a Boston resident, on charges of Larceny Over $1200 By False Pretense.
Ferreira’s arrest stemmed from allegations of deceiving multiple victims through Facebook Marketplace by falsely advertising a room for rent that he was already occupying. After collecting payments from victims, Ferreira would provide excuses such as the room not being ready or cease communication altogether. Despite eviction notices from the rental company, Ferreira persisted in advertising the room online and even offered a key to his most recent victim. Through diligent detective work, a warrant was obtained, leading to Ferreira’s swift arrest on Exeter St.
Ferreira faces charges of Larceny Over $1200 By False Pretense and is slated for arraignment at Dorchester District Court.
