On Wednesday, Kenny, a Dorchester native, father of four, and owner of Blasi’s Cafe in Adams Village, passed away suddenly. The following GoFundMe Page was started for his family: his wife, Maria; three sons, Christian, Mario, and Rocco; and his daughter, Gianna. Our love and prayers go out to Kenny’s family and friends. Kenny Blasi unexpectedly passed away on July 24, leaving behind his wife, Maria, three sons Christian, Mario, Rocco, and his daughter, Gianna.
He touched the lives of so many in Dorchester and South Boston. A devoted son who continued his father’s legacy of maintaining a local business in Adams Corner by opening Blasi’s Kitchen & Bar. His dedication to managing and restoring the neighborhood restaurant for old friends and family to gather once again will never be forgotten.
Kenny was so proud of each of his children. He worked so hard to send them to private schools and wanted to see them succeed. Their ongoing education was his priority.
Anyone who has worked in the restaurant industry knows how difficult it is to become successful. Seven years ago, Kenny endured a horrific fire in the restaurant and the loss was so great.
We are saddened to lose him as a friend and coworker. We would like to show our support to the Blasi family during this difficult time.
