Every year brave souls dip into the icy waters of Dorchester Bay as a fundraiser for the Leahy-Holloran Community Center. This year, despite the single digit temps, there was still a great turn out. At the sound of a whistle the participants rushed into the chilly water while EMS, the Boston Police Department, friends and family cheered them on. This year’s plunge was held in memory of Evie and Brian Leahy. What an incredibly exhilarating way to celebrate the New Year.
