Last Call for The Dot Tavern – the local bar will close its doors on Wednesday

In disappointing neighborhood news, The Dot Tavern announced on Friday that it will be closing its doors. After three years of bringing dive bar vibes in the best possible way, the Dot Ave hot spot for college kids and locals alike last night will be Wednesday, February 18th.
Big Dorchester shoutout to Manager (and 2024 Mayor of Dot) Maeghan Driscoll for doing an amazing job running the place! Stop by and wish the staff well this week! And order a drink or two!

In a way, no tears shed since the Dot’s History goes back to the 1940’s when my laborer Daddy spent his money there. No disco lights or cool vibe then.
Not to begrudge later generations with rosier memories.
