Update from BPD News:

At about 7:25 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, District B-3 (Mattapan) officers responded to a report of a person shot in the area of 28 Ellington Street in Dorchester. On arrival, officers located Curtis Ashford, Jr, 15, of Dorchester suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Department continues to actively review the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.

Community members wishing to assist this investigation anonymously can do so by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).
