On Tuesday, Mayor Michelle Wu announced that the city is planning to get 250 new curbside charging stations over the next two years.
According to the Boston Globe, this will give roughly 7,000 EV owners in Boston a place to plug in while parked on the city streets. Two companies have been selected to install the stations, but details like the location of the charging stations haven’t been revealed yet.
This proposal will need to be approved by the Boston City Council.
