Gov. Charlie Baker announced on Tuesday that beginning December 13th, the state will go back to Phase 3 part 1 of the reopening. What exactly does this mean?
Here’s the breakdown:
Get Togethers/Gatherings Indoors and Outdoor
No more than 10 people within a single enclosed indoor space. Outdoor gatherings at private residences are limited to 25 people.
Gyms
Gyms can reopen at 40% occupancy. Equipment must be sanitize between every use and workers and gym goers must wear a face coverings from both workers and customers. Occupancy can’t exceed eight people per 1,000 square feet — and that includes staff, visitors, and other workers.
All equipment, including weights, machines, treadmills, and bikes, must be spaced out at least 14 feet apart, or 6 feet apart if dividers are installed.
Restaurants
People dining at restaurants will not be allowed to take masks off when they get to the table. Masks will need to stay on unless you are eating or drinking.
Only 6 people at a table. Restaurants must impose a 90-minute time limit on tables. No musical performances at restaurants. No food court seating at the mall. People are encouraged to only dine with people in their own household
Indoor Theaters/Performance Centers
Closed
Outdoor Events
Outdoor event venues and outdoor spaces will be reduced from 100 to 50 people. People holding gatherings with over 25 people must notify their local board of health ahead of time. This includes community events, civic events, sporting events, concerts, conventions, and more.
Museums, aquariums, historical sites, and guided tours
These can reopen but with 40% occupancy
Per the City of Boston, all businesses must be closed by 9:30pm. There is also a Stay-At-Home Advisory instructing residents to stay home between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
