Investigation Update: At about 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force and officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested a 15-year-old Juvenile Male, in the area of Cummings Highway. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Suffolk County Juvenile Court for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Armed Robbery, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 12:18 AM, on Monday, December 23, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of Wilbert Road for a report of a person shot. Boston Police Operations advised officers that the victim had fled the scene in a vehicle and was on Blue Hill Avenue. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and observed an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officers canvassed the area of the original call and located ballistic evidence on scene.
