Investigation Update: On Saturday, August 24, 2024, detectives assigned to the Homicide Unit and DistrictC-11 (Dorchester) arrested David Adams, 38, of Dorchester and charged him with murder. Detectives were investigating last night’s murder canvassing the Dorchester Ave area for video, Detectives observed an individual matching the description of the suspect from last night. Further investigation revealed that this was the person who fatally stabbed the victim on Dorchester Avenue. Detectives placed the suspect under arrest and transported to District C-11 for booking. The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 9:59 PM, on Friday, August 23, 2024, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to 1879 Dorchester Ave for a report of a person stabbed. On arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
