Let’s play!
On Tuesday, Mayor Michelle Wu and the Office of Early Childhood will host the first International Day of Play on City Hall Plaza, a free, public, family-friendly event. The Mayor will tour various play activities hosted by 29 community organizations and participate in a press availability following the tour.
The LEGO Group will participate in the event, having played a leading role in the 20-member coalition that advocated for The United Nations General Assembly’s designation of June 11 as the International Day of Play, beginning in 2024.
The day will celebrate the importance of play in children’s lives, learning, and development, and the need to protect and support children’s right to play.
