The Boston Globe is reporting that five people were taken to area hospitals on Sunday night with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting broke out after the Dominican Festival in Franklin Park.
According to BPD Commissioner Michael Cox, officers were clearing festival goers from the streets and directing traffic when they heard multiple gunshots coming from the crowd around 8:43pm. Five victims were found near Circuit Drive with gunshot wounds – three young men and two young women.
Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the shooter. As of Sunday night, no one had been arrested.
