BOSTON – Wednesday, July 1, 2020 – Mayor Martin J. Walsh today announced the City of Boston July Drive-In Movie Series, organized by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Mayor’s Office of Tourism, Sports, and Entertainment. This series is made possible by support from the Highland Street Foundation, in partnership with the Age Strong Commission, and host sites, Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and Wentworth Institute of Technology.

This Drive-in Movie Series will include double-feature showings on select Wednesday nights in July, as well as a special matinee viewing with the Age Strong Commission. This series is free, family-friendly, and open to residents of Boston. All event attendees must pre-register by car through an RSVP on Eventbrite which can be accessed through boston.gov/drive-in-movies.

“We are proud to offer free, family-friendly entertainment for the people of Boston through the July Drive-in Movie Series,” said Mayor Walsh. “We are thankful for the Highland Street Foundation’s support to make this happen, and to the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center and Wentworth Institute of Technology for hosting. Our hope is that these movie nights can provide a safe, fun summer respite for Boston residents of all ages.”

The City will be using an LED screen that is visible from afar during the day and at night for your viewing pleasure.
