Dorchester Man Attacks Fellow Passengers on the Red Line

On July 13, 2022 at approximately 3:30PM members of the Transit Police MOP Unit responded to the MBTA’s JFK station for a report of a male assaulting passengers on board a Red Line train. Upon arrival officers were met by several victims and witnesses who relayed the following: while traveling on a northbound red line train between Ashmont and JFK a male, later identified as Eugene Wright, 42, of Dorchester was threatening and then ultimately physically assaulting other passengers by striking them with closed fists, kicking them and throwing a metal bottle. The attack was unprovoked.
