Dorchester Community Fridge has a new look but same important mission for 2026

On Friday, the Dorchester Community Fridge announced a fresh new look for 2026 created by local Dorchester artist Jesse Haley
The design is inspired by the iconic neighborhood landmark gas tank created by Sister Corita Kent aka the rainbow swash.
The good people behind the community fridge also updated their donation guide, which you can find pinned on their Instagram page.
How it works:
Maureen Dahill is the editor of Caught in Southie and a lifelong resident of South Boston sometimes mistaken for a yuppie. Co-host of Caught Up, storyteller, lover of red wine and binge watching TV series. Mrs. Peter G. Follow her @MaureenCaught.

The fridge is no longer at 1471 Dorchester Ave. It is now on Claybourne st by the ABCD office
