At about 11:17 PM, on Friday, May 31, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to the area of 36 Edson Street for a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries where she was later pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
