Changes could be coming to parking polices
As residents of one of the most congested neighborhoods in Boston, we realize that something needs to be done about the parking situation. We’ve been frustrated by the fact that parking is scarce and you sometimes have to park blocks away only to pass numerous out of state plates on your walk back home. Well, City Councilor At-Large Michelle Wu is proposing some changes to our parking polices.
The last time the city made any changes to the on street parking policies city-wide was way back in the 1980’s. There was 100,000 fewer people living here. A few year’s back City Councilor Bill Linehan issued a 7-day Resident Only Parking pilot in South Boston. Clearly something needs to be done but what exactly? What do you think?
