Big news, Dorchester! Caught in Dot is proud to announce our partnership with Boston Firefighters Credit Union (BFCU)—a true neighborhood institution that’s been serving our local heroes since 1948. As a woman-owned business, we’re thrilled to team up with a community partner who shares our values of supporting and uplifting the people who make Boston great.

BFCU was founded by Boston firefighters with one mission in mind: “People Helping People.” What started as a way to assist firefighters struggling financially has grown into a full-service financial institution serving nearly 12,000 members—but their dedication to first responders and their families has never wavered.

Over the years, membership has expanded beyond firefighters to include all Massachusetts first responders, including police, municipal EMS workers, and their families. They remain the only local credit union exclusively serving this vital community.

This partnership is all about keeping it local and giving back, and we couldn’t be more excited. Stay tuned for ways we’ll work together to support our first responders, the Dorchester community, and beyond!

This partnership is a perfect match—both Caught in Dot and BFCU are dedicated to supporting the community and the people who make Boston such a great place to call home. As the founder of Caught in Dot and the wife of a firefighter, I know firsthand the sacrifices that first responders and their families make every day. That’s why I’ve always appreciated the work BFCU does—it’s more than just a credit union; it’s a lifeline for so many. For decades, BFCU has had the backs of first responders and their families, just like Caught in Dot keeps the neighborhood connected and in the know. By teaming up, we can do even more to bring people together, strengthen community ties, and give back in meaningful ways. It’s all about neighbors helping neighbors—because that’s what Dorchester does best!
