At about 8:36 AM, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Sebastian Fecu, 22, of Dorchester, and Nakeda Strothers, 32, of Roxbury, on assault and larceny charges.
Officers responded to the area of 25 Calder Street for a report of a person with a gun. Officers were advised by the victim that his moped was stolen, and he was able to track it to the area of 22 Abbot Street. The victim stated to officers that he was able to locate his moped as well as his friend’s stolen moped. The victims stated that they were able to retrieve their stolen mopeds.
Shortly after, two suspects dressed in all black entered the rear of 25 Calder Street in an attempt to take the mopeds again. The suspects threatened the victims and they lifted up their shirts which revealed that they both had firearms inside their waistbands.
Officers now observed the suspects in the rear of 22 Abbot Street. As officers made their way to the rear of the residence, they immediately observed numerous mopeds and trash barrels filled with various moped parts.
After further investigation, officers observed a propped open door and located four individuals inside the residence. Two of the suspects were positively identified and placed into handcuffs. The other two individuals were promptly released and the apartment was secured pending a search warrant.
Members of the Auto Theft Unit seized multiple mopeds and various moped parts from the scene. Officers were able to return one of the stolen mopeds to the rightful owner.
Both suspects were placed under arrest and charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon to wit Gun, and Larceny of Auto Acc. Over $250. Both suspects are expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
