BPD Missing Person Alert: The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in efforts to locate 38-Year-Old João Tavares, of Dorchester.
João was last seen on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM, in the area of Figurehead Lane, Quincy. He is described as a Black non-Hispanic male, about 5’08”, approximately 190 lbs., with dark brown skin. He is balding and has a black and gray beard. He was last seen wearing a green shirt. He suffers from a developmental disability.
He is known to frequent Stratton Street in Dorchester, Uphams Corner, Fields Corner, and the are of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is advised to contact 911 or District B-3 Detectives at 617-343-4712.
