According to the Orkin’s Top 50 Rattiest Cities 2023 List, Boston is listed as lucky #13. A few years ago, Boston had the second highest number of rat and mouse sightings in the 15 most populated cities in the US, according to census data.
Rodent infestation has clearly been a problem in neighborhoods across the city. Back in April 2022, the Boston City Council held a hearing on rodent control. The hearing was intended to discuss measures that the city can take to respond to the uptick in rodent activities, as well as long-term strategies that will reduce the rats and pests populations in our neighborhoods.
