Live Boston is reporting that there was an active shooter situation in Mattapan on Saturday. BFD and BPD were on the scene at 50 Fairlawn Ave. – a Boston Housing Authority building.
Boston Fire responded to a call for smoke showing at a home on Fairlawn Lane. A gunman inside began shooting at BFD and BPD. The fire was knocked down and BPD SWAT showed up to the scene. After two hours, police were able to take the barricaded man into custody.
