According to Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden, a Quincy woman was charged with shooting at another woman and a Lyft driver in Dorchester.
The shooting occurred at about 3:45 a.m. June 2 in the area of Corona Street in Dorchester. Boston police said the Lyft driver told them he had just picked up a woman when bullets hit his car. According to police, the driver said he heard three gunshots and then quickly drove away, police said.
BPD found damage to the front driver’s-side door and three casings plus two live rounds on the street. Yikes.
The Patriot Ledger is reporting that the 19-year-old passenger and the driver were uninjured. According to the article, the passenger told police she had been in a three-week relationship with the suspect. Quincy police pulled over the 19-year-old suspect and found a loaded 9mm firearm under the driver’s seat and ammunition in the car and trunk. Shw as charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card and carrying a firearm without a license.
