The Boston Globe is reporting that BPD arrested two juveniles on Tuesday after shots were fired in Dorchester.
According to the police report, the boys, 16 and 15, were apprehended around 11:11 p.m. in the area of Erie and Ellington streets after a brief foot chase. Officers were in the area responding to a call for shots fired and recovered ballistics. Officers then saw the teenagers fleeing on a scooter, which crashed into a parked car.
The teens ran away but officers caught up and arrested them. BPD also recovered a loaded Colt .38 Special from the flight path of the 16-year-old.
According to police, the 16-year-old was charged with illegal gun possession, illegal possession of ammunition, and carrying a loaded firearm. The 15-year-old was charged with failing to stop for police, not wearing a helmet, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
