Welcome to the Neighborhood MOBA

Art too bad to be ignored. Odd portraits, weird animals and strange sport scenarios are just some of the subjects that make up the questionable art in the Museum of Bad Art.  After losing its home in the basement of the Somerville Theatre a while back, the collection has found a new home and it’s right here in Dorchester! Dorchester Brewing Co. will now house a curated selection of 40 pieces of bad art from the museum’s collection of 800 pieces! A grand opening celebration is planned for September 6 from 6-8 p.m at Dorchester Brewing Co., where lovers of beer and bad art can take it all in.

Wine Dinner at dbar

This Wednesday, September 7th, wine dinners are back at dbar and they’re kicking off this series with Wines of Portugal. Enjoy three courses and four wines for just $75 per person. Reservations are required and are available now via Open Table!

Hunt + Gather

The Savin Hill Neighborhood will be hosting a yard sale on Saturday, September 10th from 9am-2pm with a rain date of Sunday, September 11th.

You know the old saying, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Plan to hunt and gather your way through the neighborhood and expect anything from vintage tableware, furniture, books, sporting equipment, artwork and more. You never know what you’ll find but it might exactly what you are looking for!  Bring cash – most sellers are cash only!
