Dorchfest 2024
Dorchfest will take place on Saturday, June 1st, from 12 pm-5 pm. Experience what it would be like to walk through a real-life shuffled Spotify playlist! Wine Tasting Dinner at Blend
Blend is hosting a special dinner on Wednesday, May 29th at 7pm featuring a six course wine tasting – showcasing some worldly whites and a rosé each paired with a Latin inspired small plate. Availability is limited and this will be hosted on the blend patio (weather permitting). $85 per person (tax and gratuity are not included). Reservations are available via OpenTable!
Dorchester Day Parade
Every year the Dorchester Day Parade commences on the first Sunday in June. This year the parade is scheduled to kick off on June 2nd. The parade starts at 1:00 p.m. in Lower Mills at the corner of Washington Street & Dorchester Avenue and travels along Dorchester Avenue to Savin Hill at the corner of Columbia Road and Dorchester Avenue. Blue Hill Ave Transportation Plan Meetings
The City of Boston is hosting a series of community meetings to discuss plans to redesign Blue Hill Avenue to better serve bus riders, create safer conditions for pedestrians and drivers, increase the tree canopy, and install new amenities for a more vibrant small business corridor. The first meeting, a pop up workshop, is coming up on Wednesday, May 29th from 4pm-6pm at the Blue Hill Ave Mattapan Bus Stop. You can check out the full list of upcoming meetings here.
DCR Spray Decks are back in action this weekend
Cool off at one of the many spray decks at DCR playgrounds around the area including the Neponset Landing II Spray Deck on Hill Top Street. Open 8am-8pm.
