Prepare to Recycle those Christmas Trees
Recycle those dried-out Christmas trees this week! The City of Boston will be collecting them for the first two full weeks in January! Place trees at the curb by 6am on trash day. No decorations, bags, stands or lights on the tree. The tree will be shredded up to be used as compost. The compost will be distributed in various Boston parks o help new things grow! Jump in – 2025 – L Street Brownies Polar Plunge
We can’t think of a more shocking way to start off the new year by jumping into the frigid waters of Boston Harbor – talk about a jolt! Many believe it is good for one’s health, where one’s immune system can benefit from regular cold water plunges. This belief is part of the foundation of the L Street Brownies – the oldest “polar bear” club in America, and for over 100 years, the polar plunge has been part of the neighborhood culture on New Year’s Day! The Nathan Show at Just Book-ish
Join Just Book-ish for a film screening of two episodes of The Nathan Show, a new sitcom created by local film maker Nathan Bourjolly. The show follows a Haitian American family migrating to New England. Its filled with plenty of drama and enough laughter to keep folks smiling for the year. Takes place on Sunday, January 5th at 4pm.
