Mindful Mondays with Bluebikes  – Last One! 

In recognition of National Wellness Month, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (“Blue Cross”) is sponsoring free Bluebikes Adventure Passes each Monday in August as part of its annual “Mindful Mondays” initiative!  Outdoor exercise, such as biking, and mindfulness techniques are known to dramatically improve mental health and reduce depression, anxiety, PTSD and other concerns. To take advantage of complimentary passes on “Mindful Mondays,” riders can download and open the Bluebikes app, select “Adventure Pass,” and enter the appropriate code: 💙 August 28: BLUECROSS0828

Menstrual Equity Pilot Has Launched

The City of Boston and the Boston Public Library just launched a menstrual equity pilot program, offering free menstrual products at six neighborhood libraries….including Codman Square.  The pilot will offer free menstrual pads and tampons from Aunt Flow, along with education programs from Love Your Menses Inc., at an initial six Boston Public Library branches:  Brighton, Codman Square, East Boston, North End, Mattapan, and Roxbury. At each branch,  product dispensers will be available for use in all female, male and gender-neutral bathrooms at each location.

Boston Children’s Rec Fest

On Tuesday, August 22nd join the City of Boston and Boston Parks + Recreation Department for the Boston Children’s Rec Fest from 10am-1pm at Pierpoint Road at Franklin Park featuring a marionette show, family Zumba, arts + crafts, batting cages + more!

Parking + Traffic Advisory for Day Blvd. – Boston Triathlon

The Boston Triathlon is in town this weekend, and there will be parking and traffic restrictions!

There will be no parking on Day Blvd. from I Street To Shore Road and along Shore Road from Saturday, August 26th at 10pm – Sunday, August 27th at 2pm. On Sunday, August 27th – Day Blvd. will be closed from Kosciuszko Circle to Shore Road from approximately 5:30am-2pm.
