Here’s what you need to know to vote-by-mail in Boston’s September 9 Preliminary Municipal Election!
- The deadline to register to vote is Saturday, August 30.
- The deadline to apply to vote by mail is Tuesday, September 2, at 5 p.m.
- Find resources and info at boston.gov/votebymail.

The Dorchester Food Co-Op Board Members posted the following message on the website, looking for people to shop. Its cash reserves are low, and there is concern that closure could be looming. The market, owned by workers and community members, opened in 2023. You can learn more here.

Let Via Cannuccia do the Cooking
The team at Via Cannuccia announced recently they’ll be taking a little break for dinner service through September 3rd to reset and recharge! They are still open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday from 8 am–2 pm (closed Tuesdays) and serving up its signature brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 9am–3pm. Also, they recently posted on Instagram that they’ll be serving up some take-home items for you to enjoy at your dining room table like lasagna, salad and pizza! You can get all the details here!
