Date Night Idea – Book your Spot
Calling all parents and caregivers! Need a night out without the “what about the kids?” guilt? DotArt has your back with their brand-new Kids’ Night at DotArt — and it’s the perfect way to enjoy a stress-free date night (or just a few quiet hours to yourself). Happening on May 3rd and May 17th from 6–9PM at the Walter Baker Lofts (1231 Adams Street), this fun-filled evening is for kiddos ages 6–10 and includes themed art projects, creative expression, friend-making, and plenty of laughs. Eats + Beats – Taste of Dorchester
Come hungry, leave happy. The 17th Annual Taste of Dorchester is back this week, serving up the best bites from over 20 local spots all under one roof. Head over to IBEW Local 103 on Thursday from 6–8PM for a night full of food, music, and community vibes. You’ll get to sample everything from comfort food classics to hidden gem dishes, all while listening to live music from local bands and browsing an impressive silent auction lineup. Tickets are $50 — and yep, that includes all the food you can handle. Proceeds support the Massachusetts Affordable Homeownership Alliance (MAHA), so you’re eating good and doing good. Win-win. Listen to the Music
On April 24th at 4pm enjoy some classical music featuring Nathan Amaral, violin and Alice Chenyag Xu, piano at Peabody Hall, 209 Ashmont Street, Dorchester. The program will include: Mozart, Sonata for violin & piano No. 26 in B flat major, Clara Schumann, Three romances for violin and piano, Ernest Chausson, Poème, Op. 2, César Franck, Sonata for violin and piano in A Major, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Bachianas Brasileiras nº5 – Reception to follow!
