At least five people were shot Sunday night in Dorchester, including an 11-year-old and a 14-year-old, one who suffered life-threatening injuries.

Boston police responded to Ames Street for a report of shots fired just after 8:30pm on Sunday and discovered five gunshot victims — two kids and three adults.

According to NBC10 Boston, the Police Commissioner Michael. Cox, District Attorney Kevin Hayden, and Mayor Michelle Wu spoke at a press conference around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night, asking the public to assist in their investigation.

The number of shots fired is also being investigated. Officials said it’s too early in the investigation to say if there are one or multiple suspects. No arrests have been announced. An investigation is active and ongoing.
