What a perfect way to close out 2023! Forty-five years ago, Boston firefighter Joe Gilmore, Engine 18, recused siblings from their burning home in Dorchester. On Wednesday, Gilmore and Umar Fox (who was three years old at the time of the fire. His sister Lisa was 9-years-old. ) met for the first time since that day.
