BFD responded to a call for a fire around 7:45am on Saturday to 16 Nightingale Street. A second alarm was called. Flames quickly spread to 12 Nightingale St – and third and fourth alarm were ordered.
Rear porches collapsed and some power lines went down. Fire was eventually knocked down. 12 residents were displaced and two firefighters suffered minor injuries. BFD is still on scene working on hot spots.
There was also a 3-alarm fire on Friday morning on Robinson Street in Dorchester.
