Boston firefighters responded to a two-alarm blaze in Dorchester late Sunday night after flames broke out on the back porches of a Codman Hill Ave. home and quickly spread.
BFD was called to 40 Codman Hill Ave. just after 9 p.m. and arrived to find heavy fire shooting from the first- and second-floor rear porches of a 2.5-story wood-frame house. Firefighters quickly got to work, using ground ladders to access the flames and quickly knocking down the fire.
The fire extended beyond the porches and into the rest of the home, prompting a second alarm. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
A big shoutout to the BFD for moving fast and keeping the neighborhood safe. We’ll update with more info as it’s released.
