At about 5:56 PM, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) made an on-site firearm arrest of a 13-year-old juvenile male.
Officers responded to the area of Columbia Road and Washington Street for a report of a person with a gun. Officers were provided a description by Boston Police Operations and observed the suspect with a group of males.
When the suspect observed the officers’ presence, he immediately began to separate from the group and walk away. Officers were able to stop the suspect, and conducted a pat frisk. Officers recovered a firearm from the suspect’s jacket pocket, which was later determined to be a Hi-Point C9 Luger with seven rounds in the magazine.
The 13-year-old was placed under arrest and charged with: Delinquent to wit unlawful possession of a firearm, and Delinquent to wit unlawful possession of ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
