Looking around the neighborhood these days, it looks like we could use some goats. Yes, that’s right, goats! A few years back, Mayor Walsh and the City of Boston deployed some goats to tackle the poison ivy in Hyde Park. The goats were hired to take care of two acres of Park and Recreation property over run with weeds including poison ivy. Four goats just doing their thing – eatin’ stuff.
Well, the Dorchester Park Association thought it was a good idea too and hired their own goats! The Goatscaping Co. in Plymouth charges about $100 per goat, per week and will supply the goats to clean up the park!
So be on the lookout for goats at Dorchester Park! #DotGoat
