Emily Sweeney – Dorchester native, journalist for the Boston Globe and MBTA expert -shared another T gem from the past with us on Friday morning!
In 1955, Emily’s grandfather fell onto the tracks at Park Street station and touched the third rail. But thanks to his wooden leg, he wasn’t electrocuted. The story of his “lucky leg” appeared in newspapers across the country.
