Holiday Pop Up Market at Ashmont Station and Peabody Square Tree Lighting
Join friends and neighbors as we gather, with an assist from the City of Boston Public Works Department, to light the holiday tree in Peabody Square! The ceremony will happen at the conclusion of the Greater Ashmont Holiday Pop Up Market, and our market musicians will be able to accompany us for some festive caroling before the countdown. We will have treats to share from Ashmont Grill and Dunkin’, plus a giant supply of Baker’s Chocolate hot chocolate to warm you. This fun event takes place on Saturday, November 30th at 7pm.

10th Annual Murphy Boy’s Toy Drive
For the past ten years, the Murphy brothers from Dorchester have organized an annual toy drive for ABCD (Action for Boston Community Development). Last year, the Marc and Michael donated nearly 175 toys! They are hoping to break their record with 200 toys. We are selling $20 squares for the Patriots/Chiefs game. Payouts will be $200 per quarter (1-4) and $200 for final score for a total of $1000. The second fundraiser is a 50/50. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. The drawing will be on December 1st. Register to Run
Register for the Halfway to Dot Day 5K and Toy Drive! This is a family friendly run for all ages and abilities along the paths of DCR’s Pope John Paul Park in Dorchester on Saturday, December 14th at 9am. The course is certified and sanctioned by USA Track and Field – New England. After the race, please join us for the Mayor’s Toy Drive and breakfast at Florian Hall.
