Wampanoag Nation Singers & Dancers

Hear stories of history and culture at this annual program featuring a full-audience dance in honor of Native American Heritage Month. Hosted at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum, the event is free to attend, thanks to support from the Martin Richard Foundation and the Mass Cultural Council. Reservations are required.

Laughs on Tap

Head to Dublin House Friday evening for the return of stand up comedy Friday evening at 8pm.

African Restaurant Week

Boston’s first-annual African Restaurant Week kicked off Nov. 23 and features over 20 restaurants that celebrate African/Diaspora cuisine and culture. Various events including cooking classes and chef-hosted demonstrations, will also be offered throughout the week.

SoWa Winter Festival

More than 100 small business vendors return for the 8th annual SoWa Winter Festival in the South End. Stop by every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for shopping, food and beverage stations and live festive entertainment all under one roof.

The Nutcracker 

This can’t-miss holiday tradition from Boston Ballet is back for another season. The enchanting show has something for everyone–from dancing bears to shimmering snow and world-class choreography. Multiple shows are offered throughout the month, with select “sensory friendly” performances also offered.

Public Ice Skating

Public skating at Devine Rink has returned! Weekend hours are Saturday from 7pm to 8:50pm and Sunday from 2pm to 3:50pm. Skate rentals and skate sharpening is also offered on weekends and school holidays.

Tree Lightings in the Neighborhood

The Dorchester Holiday Celebration Committee is hosting a variety of neighborhood tree lighting events Saturday. The first takes place at 3pm at the Ashmont MBTA plaza and the last at Peabody Square at 7pm. The events will include refreshments, children’s activities and more. Get the details.
