Beatles Tribute Band

Don’t miss New England’s best Beatles tribute band, Studio Two, as they make a stop at Boston Harbor Distillery in Dorchester this Friday evening. Catch the special performance by these Berklee College of Music alum who will transport you back to the excitement of 50’s and 60’s Rock ‘n’ Roll songs. Tickets are $30 at the door, which opens at 7pm for the 8pm performance.

Last Chance for Dine Out Boston

If you’ve been procrastinating about giving your taste buds a treat during Boston’s annual restaurant week, this weekend is your last chance! Enjoy a specially priced prix fixe menu for lunch or dinner. The Pearl, dbar, Shanti, Venezia and Gyu-Kaku are the five Dorchester-based restaurants participating.

Spring Gardening Lecture

Did you know there’s a variety of apples named for Roxbury? And one of the most beloved and well-known varieties of pear originated in Dorchester! Learn more about our local agricultural innovators and their impact on gardening and horticulture at a free community lecture this Saturday from 11am to 12 pm at the Shirley-Eustis House Great Hall. A $12 per person donation is suggested.

Moakley Park Cleanup

Join Boston Harbor Now and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department at Moakley Park to give back to your community at the first monthly cleanup of the season this Saturday from 9am to 11am. Volunteers should meet at the picnic tables near the basketball courts. Participants will be provided tools including gloves, bags and pickers to help clean up litter and natural debris.

Crochet 101

The Local Hand is offering the perfect beginner-friendly class this weekend for anyone interested in exploring the art of crocheting. No experience is necessary to join this three-hour hands-on workshop on Saturday from 3pm to 6pm. Learn how to make classic granny squares which require only three fundamental crochet stitches. Registration is $80 and participants will receive all basic supplies including hooks, yarn, stitch markers and a pattern.

Youth Cooking Class

Join Elevate Youth on their mission to empower youth at this free cooking class at the Daily Table in Dorchester. This in-person cooking class is for students and their families in the community looking to learn more about how to create healthy meals for themselves and their families. The event takes place on Saturday from 9:30am to 12:30pm and registration is limited.

Boston Food Vendor Seminar

Have you wanted to be a food vendor at the City of Boston outdoor events? Then you won’t want to miss this informational seminar at the Franklin Park Golf Course Club House in Dorchester on Saturday from 10am to 12pm. Learn how to receive the proper certification for safely selling your delicious creations to the Boston community. The event will feature one-on-one support from the City of Boston Health and Fire Department staff members.

Easter Egg Hunt

Join our neighbors for the annual Savin Hill little kids’ Easter egg hunt this Sunday at 3:15pm. Meet at the basketball court off Savin Hill Ave. and enjoy some free family-friendly fun, including a bubble show, face painting, and other activities until 4:30pm.
