Weekend Picks – July 17th

Boston Little Saigon Night Market Returns on Saturday
Looking for something fun to do in the neighborhood? Head to Fields Corner for the Chợ Đêm Boston Little Saigon Night Market 2026, a lively celebration of Vietnamese culture, food, and community. The free outdoor event will feature delicious street food like chicken wings, skewers, crawfish, and more, plus artisan vendors, live entertainment, games, a beer garden, and plenty of Instagram-worthy photo ops. Inspired by the popular night markets found throughout Vietnam, the event offers a chance to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Boston’s Little Saigon Cultural District. Bring your friends and family and enjoy an evening of great food, culture, and fun in the heart of Dorchester. Takes place on Saturday, July 17th from 4pm-9:30pm.
Check out Modern Party Art
There’s a colorful new addition coming to Fields Corner this summer. Modern Party Art is opening a new creative studio at the former Dorchester Theatre at 1524 Dorchester Ave. Owned by Fields Corner native Samantha Rivas, the studio will offer something for everyone, including walk-in painting sessions, birthday parties, date nights, private events, kids’ activities, and adult classes. Visitors will also be able to grab a coffee or a dirty soda while creating their own artwork.
Dorchester North Burying Ground Walking Tour
What can a burying ground tell us about a neighborhood? Quite a lot. Join Boston by Foot to explore 400 years of Boston history on a walking tour of the Dorchester North Burying Ground, one of the city’s oldest and most significant historic cemeteries. Founded in 1633, this remarkable burial ground offers a window into colonial Boston, the American Revolution, and the generations of people who shaped Dorchester and the city beyond. Explore the stories of Puritan ministers, Revolutionary War soldiers, skilled stone carvers, merchants, immigrants, and ordinary residents whose lives are recorded in stone. Along the way, discover exceptional gravestone art, learn about the Salem witch trials, slavery in New England, epidemics, and the everyday experiences of the people who lived and died here over three centuries. This tour is offered in collaboration with the City of Boston’s Historic Burying Grounds Initiative and takes place on Saturday, July 18th at 10 am. Book your spot today here.
Insider’s Tip: Post-tour, head to Comfort Kitchen for some brunch!
