Comedy at DBCo

Like2Laugh is bringing its comedy show to Dorchester Brewing Company this Friday from 7pm to 10pm. This weekend’s lineup features Rodney Norman, winner of the Rhode Island Comedy Festival, AJ Hapenny and other special guests. Tickets are $20 and the event is 21+ only.

Learn to Crochet

Roll up your sleeves and get ready to get creative at the Uphams Corner branch library’s free crocheting class for beginners. The event takes place Saturday at 11am and is part of a three-part series of fiber arts classes. Future classes will be offered for those interested in learning how to knit and sew on a sewing machine. Participants will leave with a finished project. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. 

Free Ice Skating

Panethnic Pourovers (PePo) is a progressive cultural café library serving AAPI, BIPOC, and other marginalized identities. Join PePo this Saturday from 12pm to 2pm for a free ice skating social in downtown Quincy. Skate rentals are available.

History Tour: the Great Molasses Flood

Join the Friends of the Boston Harborwalk for a free walking tour to commemorate the 105th anniversary of Boston’s Great Molasses Flood this Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm. The tour will shed light on the history of the molasses tank and its eventual failure in 1919 that led to the tragic Molasses Disaster. Space is limited and advance registration is required.

Sound and Flow Yoga

Head over to Long Live Roxbury Brewery for another Sound and Flow yoga class this Saturday from 10:30am to 12pm. The all-levels event will feature one hour of invigorating yoga followed by an immersive sound bath to help release tension. Tickets are $20 and participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat.

Downtown Speed Dating

Tired of endless swiping that goes nowhere? Boston Single Mingle invites adults ages 28-38 out for a night of IRL connections at a fun speed dating event this Sunday from 6pm to 8pm at Bar Moxy. Dates are 15 minutes each, and following the event, participants will receive a list of all of their matches. 

Dorchester Eagles Celebration at UMass Boston

On Saturday, the Pop Warner Dorchester Eagles will be honored at the UMass Boston Beacons’ basketball game at 3pm. Back in December, the Dorchester Eagles 14-and-under football team won the Division 1 national championship in the Pop Warner Super Bowl tournament at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida! This makes the Eagles the first Boston team to win a national title in any age or weight category in 37 years!

Traditional Irish Music

This Sunday from 3pm to 5pm the Irish Pastoral Center of Boston will host their monthly traditional Irish music session. The event is free and open to all ages, musicians and levels. The IPC is located at 540 Gallivan Blvd. in Dorchester. 

Drag Brunch at Blend

Mizery and her best girlfriends are bringing Sunday drag brunches back to Dorchester this weekend at Blend! Grab your tickets for the 11:45, 12:15 or 12:45 seatings and don’t miss the big show with a special surprise guest at 1pm.
